As legislators gather in Tallahassee for the annual legislative session, Issues in Education looks at the impact on higher education. Florida State University President Dr. Eric Barron and WFSU-TV’s Suzanne Smith talk with students Bobby Seifter, vice president of the Student Government Association at FSU and chair of the FSU Student Foundation, and Mitch Ghaneie, director of governmental affairs for the SGA and treasurer of the Student Foundation. Topics for discussion include concerns students have about legislative cuts to the higher education budget in the state. They also look at how potential cuts have some students stepping up into a new kind of leadership role through the FSU Student Foundation. Dr. Barron also discusses his concerns for the session.
